Director, External Communications (Mining & Materials)
Rose & Company is a leading independent capital markets advisory firm offering strategic counsel and tailored solutions to help companies increase market valuation. We are seeking a Director, External Communications to serve as a senior communications advisor for global mining and materials clients. This role sits at the intersection of strategy, storytelling, and capital markets. The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor to management teams, shaping how companies articulate their strategy, performance, and long-term value to investors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and evolution of investment narratives that clearly articulate strategy, value drivers, and long-term positioning.
- Review and strengthen existing investor messaging to ensure clarity, credibility, and relevance across investor audiences.
- Lead the creation of investor presentations, from narrative structure and content development through final execution.
- Provide full-cycle support for earnings communications, including review and drafting of press releases, presentations, and prepared remarks.
- Provide strategic input on non-earnings press releases, operational updates, and milestone announcements.
- Support transaction- and event-driven communications, including M&A, capital allocation initiatives, and strategic announcements, with a focus on messaging coherence and rationale.
- Serve as a senior advisor to CEOs, CFOs, and IROs on external messaging, disclosure priorities, and investor positioning.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- 5+ years in corporate communications, investor relations, or financial communications, preferably in mining, materials, or adjacent sectors.
- Strong capital markets understanding and experience communicating complex financial and operational information.
- Exceptional writing and narrative development skills.
- Proven ability to advise senior executives in high-stakes communications contexts.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Communications, or a related field.
